This is book two in the Maple Hills Series— the follow-up to Icebreaker. This one follows Aurora and Russ, who find themselves spending the summer together as camp councilors following a one-night stand. What could go wrong?
I was really excited to read this one because Icebreaker was one of my favorites last year, but I could not get into this one. I didn’t connect with either character, and there was no witty banter to help carry the story. Also, it’s part of a hockey series, but is missing the hockey aspect that I enjoyed in the first book of the series.
Hopefully the next book in the series will get back to everything I loved in the first one!
