November 2019 Reads
Is it just me, or did November fly by? I feel like I blinked and it’s already December. We hosted Thanksgiving for my family and had a great holiday weekend full of food, family and football. Now, Christmas has officially arrived at the Miranda house and we are full speed ahead until the big man shows up! All of our trees are up, the stockings are hung, and we will be blasting Christmas music and watching Elf on repeat all month long.
We had a crazy busy month this month, but I did get through three books! They were all good ones and quick, easy reads, and I really enjoyed each one! Here’s the list for my November reads:
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren: A super cute love story that was both funny and witty. It follows your stereotypical plotline, but I still really liked it! A quick read, similar to The Hating Game by Sally Thorne if you read that one!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid: I adored this book and it’s one of my favorite books that I have read in a while. It was giving me a similar vibe to City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert, but I loved Seven Husbands more. I have had this book in my stack for a while, and I’m glad I finally got a chance to read it!
Recursion by Blake Crouch: This book was surrounded by such an interesting concept of memories and time travel. I loved the movie Inception, and this story felt very similar to that. It took me a little bit of work to figure out the timeline and sequence of events because of the time travel and plotline, but it is expected with this type of book. After flipping back to the previous chapter to figure out the timeline, I was able to follow along again. It took a little bit of work to wrap my brain around this storyline, but I still loved it!
That’s it for November! Let me know what you read in November or what’s in your stack for December!
