Lemon

When you think of Lemon, think of the workhorse. This oil is perfect for deep cleaning! Lemon is also a very uplifting scent when diffused, and is also perfect to use in the kitchen. Unlike lemon juice, Lemon essential oil is cold-pressed from the rind of the lemon peel, giving you the taste and scent of lemons without the acidity.

Quick Uses

Deep Clean

Add a drop or two to your cleaning products or the dishwasher for an extra cleaning boost. Are your kids coloring on your walls or other unwanted surfaces? Use Lemon oil to help with the removal!

Scrub-a-Dub

Need to give something a good scrub? Mix your Thieves Household Cleaner and baking soda to create a paste, then add a few drops of Lemon oil to the mix. Apply to any stubborn areas, allow to sit for a few minutes, then wipe away!

Sticky Situations

Don’t you hate when you try to remove a price tag or sticker and it won’t budge, or worse, it leaves behind some sticky residue? Add a drop or two of Lemon oil, let it sit for a minute, and then wipe clean. It also works well for getting gum out of your hair, or any other sticky situation you find yourself in! Bandages won’t budge? Add a drop of Lemon before removing!

Seasonal Support

Is everything covered in pollen? Add 1-2 drops each of Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint into an empty vegetable capsule and take as a supplement as needed. You can also add a drop or two of each oil onto a spoon, or mix with a little bit of honey if you don’t have vegetable capsules on hand.

In Tea or Water

Add a drop or two of Lemon oil to your cup of hot water for a simple tea. You can also add a drop or two of Thieves for an added benefit! Lemon is also great in your water bottle as a nice twist on plain water. Just be sure to use a glass or stainless steel water bottle!

What’s That Smell?

Add a couple of drops of Lemon to a cotton ball and put it in your trash cans to help keep odors at bay. You can also cut up squares of adhesive-backed felt (check out your local craft store), add a couple of drops of Lemon or Citrus Fresh, and stick them behind toilet tanks or any other smelly areas to freshen them up!

In The Kitchen

Lemon carries a vitality label, signifying it is safe for ingestion. Use it in place of lemon juice in any of your recipes! A drop of oil is equivalent to about one teaspoon of juice, but experiment to find your perfect substitution.
